Choosing the right solar system size for your home
Sizing is not guesswork. Here is how we translate your electricity bill and load profile into a system that actually fits.
Start with units, not watts
Look at your bill and note the units consumed per month across a full year. Summer peaks tell us how much air conditioning load we are designing for, while winter figures show your base consumption.
In Islamabad and Rawalpindi, one kilowatt of well installed solar typically generates around 110 to 130 units per month averaged across the year.
Match the system to the way you live
If most of your consumption happens during daylight hours, an on grid system gives the fastest payback. If your evenings are heavy or load shedding is frequent, a hybrid system with storage is the better fit.
Common residential packages run at 3kW, 5kW, 10kW and 20kW. A 5kW system comfortably supports two one ton inverter air conditioners along with a fridge, television, lights and fans.
Leave room to grow
Roof space, inverter capacity and battery expansion should all allow for future additions. Adding an electric vehicle or another air conditioner two years from now should not mean replacing your inverter.
